چکیده

This paper studies the effect of type and concentration selected frothers, gas flowrate, pore size porous frit on bubble sizes (Sauter mean diameter, SMD) bubbling flow produced in a micro-flotation cell, determination distribution (BSD) presence frothers. The commercial frothers polypropylene glycols (PPG 200, 400, 600), tri propylene glycol (BTPG), triethylene (BTEG), dipropylene (BDPG), Methyl Isobutyl Carbinol (MIBC) were used present investigation. frother varied from 1 to 1000 ppm. rate range 25 100 cm3/min. as 10–16 μm, 16–40 40–100 μm. Each exhibited its own unique ability preventing coalescence bubbles order BTEG < BDPG PPG 200 MIBC BTPG 400 600. factorial experiments established that have major bubbles. decreased twice their when was increased ppm is significant factor well. can be reduced about 10% 40% by decreasing pores μm but level this decrease depends frother. increase flowrate cm3/min smaller 25% 50% for case BTEG, BDPG, MIBC, BTPG, while minimum reached 600, beyond which enlarged size. BSD 600 around 0.3 mm, whereas gave wider indicated affected production. Our analysis shows first group adsorbs instantly bubbles, once they leave frit, thus reaching equilibrium. adsorb significantly slower possibly not equilibrium during resident time.

Adsorption of arsenic on soil under different soil moisture conditions

The adsorption study was conducted on three Japanese soils with different soil properties to characterize the adsorption pattern of Arsenic (As). Double tube method was used to find out the effect of soil moisture levels on As adsorption. For this study, besides double tube method, conventional batch method also was used. The As adsorption showed two phase kinetics. An initial and rapid adsorpt...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Adsorption of Bacteriophage under Various Physiological Conditions of the Host

1. The adsorption rate constant of phage to bacterium is found to change between wide limits, depending on the physiological state of the bacterium. 2. The experiments of Krueger and of Schlesinger on the residual free phage in contact with an excess of bacteria are discussed and the view of Schlesinger, that they represent phage particles with reduced affinity to the bacterial host is supporte...
